The young American actress, Mackenzie Mason, was born in the Philippines, has lived in Puerto Rico and spent her high school years in Germany. Like many others, as a child, Mackenzie dreamed of becoming an actress. Throughout her school years, she studied theatre and appeared in many performances and plays, and was quickly noticed for her stage presence, on set natural charm and abilities. Mackenzie moved to Los Angeles to continue her studies at the University of Southern California. While there, she continued to pursue her dream, working diligently, again appearing in productions both on and off campus. It wasn't long before her obvious talent, extraordinary emotional range and depth, striking screen charm and unyielding ambition and enthusiasm, was noticed by agents and managers, and she was quickly signed in 2007, a year before graduating USC.
Mackenzie, now a member of the Screen Actors Guild, has booked five films including a large supporting role in her first SAG feature film, "Trail of Blood", to be released in 2011.
Although there are many actors today that she admires, Mackenzie has always had a love affair with the golden years of Hollywood and their stars. She regularly studies, reads and watches the films that were made in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, their actors, directors and composers, and she reveres such stars as Grace Kelly, Katharine Hepburn, Judy Garland and Lauren Bacall. Mackenzie loves to read and counts her favorite book as "Rebecca", the classic by Daphne du Maurier and one of her favorite films too, made in 1940 by Alfred Hitchcock and starring one of her favorite actors, Laurence Olivier.
